EVERYTHING goes in the mouth!
One of Leah's Christmas gifts was the book "The Snowy Day." What a perfect day to read it - 15+ inches of snow so far made for a white Christmas!! It did put a wrench in our plans for traveling to Brookings for Christmas with Grandma Janet and Grandpa Dale, and Aunt Carrie and Uncle Tony and Grant and Conner. Interstates closed (and still are!), so we aren't sure when we will be able to go now...Leah's first Christmas is definitely one to remember!
Miss Leah, watching the snow fall...
Leah's first Christmas Eve at Grandma Jeanie's house. The day started off great, however went all downhill when we had to wake her up from her afternoon nap to go to church.
This picture pretty much sums up how the entire evening went! I've said before when she was just weeks old that she really perfers to be home - she was cranky and crabby all night long - wouldn't eat, wouldn't sleep - ugh!! Her routine was all out of sorts, and she did not handle it well!
She did cooperate for a short time so she could open her presents. Leah got lots of great gifts from everyone - many new, fun toys that she can learn and play with, some new clothes and shoes, and some new books. Thanks, everyone, for the great presents!!
This picture was taken right before she went to sleep. Look at those tired eyes! She still loves to be swaddled when she goes to bed - no more cuddling and rocking though! Which I shouldn't complain about - it's great that she can go to sleep on her own, but that just means that she is already growing up so fast!
The only Christmas decoration we've gotten up so far is our tree...and it's not very fancy at all! Lindy thinks it's a sad, "Charlie Brown" tree....it is pretty dinky, but we have a tiny house! Needless to say, it is filled with Hallmark and Barbie ornaments. Leah loves them already!
