Leah's 6 month Well Baby check was today. 15 lbs. 5 oz. 25 inches long. Shots weren't bad - a bit fussy in the afternoon, but virtually unharmed! :-)

Not much has been new with us lately. Here's a picture of Leah and I sportin' our USD shirts. Leah turned 6 months old yesterday!! She's still not sitting on her own...oh well, she doesn't need to grow up so fast anyway! We are just pluggin' along in our daily routines, ready for winter to be over and for spring to arrive!

day 170
Leah and I have enjoyed our time together during the two snow days we have had this week. Although she wasn't the happiest of babies, but for good reason. Before Christmas both Leah and I had a really bad cough. Not really a cold - no stuffy nose, no sneezes, just a cough. It hung around for almost 3 weeks. Poor Leah's cough turned into an ear infection - all the yucky stuff in her throught found it's way to her ears! So she has been on an antibiotic for 10 days - with the antibiotic came diaherrea and diaper rash! Yesterday the rash was VERY bad and Leah was hurting. Today she is doing better and done with her medicine. So hopefully the rash goes away, her diapers go back to normal, and the ear infection stays away! On another note, Leah is now officially too big for her bouncy seat, which she loved. Now she is lovin' her new exersaucer. She can't quite touch the bottom yet and hasn't figured out that the seat moves and turns, but I'm sure she'll get it with time. She loves to play with her toes and she talks A LOT and very LOUDLY! She is the happiest of babies (when she's feeling good!). She had to be weighed at the doc last week when she got her ears checked - 15 lbs. 4 oz. (with diaper and clothes on). I feel like I am packing away clothes that are too small on a weekly basis - and I am quickly realizing that we are running out of options of what to wear! She's good for the next few months, but we'll definitely need a new spring and summer wardrobe here soon. She has nothing to wear once she is out of her 6 month clothes! Let's hope she stays little enough to wear them for awhile, cuz she has a lot of outifits to go through before she outgrows them!

This just in - Princess Leah of the Hill Haven was seen lounging while she awaited her spa appointment for the evening.
Although the Paparazzi (aka Mommy) did catch her off guard, she did give our local blog a statement:
"My nightly spa appointments are the best part of my day. I couldn't ask for a more relaxing half hour. I get a nice warm bubble bath with a total body scrub, complete with a shampoo and entertainment by Daddy. Then I get a clean diaper, a full body massage, and warm pajamas. By the time that is over, I am ready for a few stories and a peaceful night's sleep. I love it!"
