Simply Summer

Day 97. It was a hot one! High of 95 and a heat advisory due to the high heat and humidity. Felt like 105 outside! We went to Grandma's house in the morning to spend a little time outside. Going to the pool was a thought, but would have been too hot for the Little Man. We made him a comfy spot outside, and once again, he decided to take a snooze.

Shakin' it in their swimsuits!

Leah running from the sprinkler!

Her first water balloon exploded on her, so then she wanted nothing to do with them after that. Instead, she squirted water from the squirt gun into her mouth the entire time.

Day 96. We went to the park with Austin, Adalyn, Parker, and Kinsley. J-Man decided to chill out and nap. Sounds like a good plan to me!

The kids' version of Hide-N-Seek...

Leah and Austin shared some chocolate pudding. It was cute to watch....one would take a bite, then back up, let the other take a bite, then back up, and so it continued until it was gone.

Leah and Austin - did I mention they have a love/hate relationship? Or maybe I should say Leah loves to tell Austin "NO" a lot. She's very bossy. Not sure how to fix that!

Day 95 = No picture.

I'm getting better at keeping up with this! Here's my happy baby boy on day 94. At the park and full of smiles for grandma! Still waiting for that giggle...it's in there somewhere, just got to find a way to get it out of him! We're almost there...

Leah enjoys the park. This was at Terrace Park. We will definitely make another trip there soon, to walk the Japenese Gardens and see Covell Lake. We were just having so much fun playing that we didn't have time for the other activities!

Here, Leah is watching daddy as he is outside building the fence. Can you see him through the window?

In my fancy church clothes. Don't I look dapper? Day 93.

A fun Saturday

Our weekend has been great so far! Here's hoping for a fun and productive Sunday as well!

Here's J-Man, just hanging out as we stroll through the Farmer's Market. Day 92, I do believe.

He is so cooperative wherever we go. Really, he is pretty mellow most of the time. If he fusses, it's because he's either hungry or tired. Oh, and he doesn't like to be in his carseat and go for car rides (most of the time).

These pictures were actually from Friday night. We played outside, went for a walk, did bubbles, colored with chalk - you know, all the usual outdoor activites that an almost 2-year-old can handle.

When I put this shirt on her that morning, she said, "Mom, ZEBRA!" Yes my little clever one, the stripes are similar to a zebra!

Yes, she was literally running away from me because she was sick of me trying to take her picture.

Here's Leah on Saturday morning at the Farmer's Market. Yep, I'm a good mom. She had a "cookie pie" for lunch.

Mom and dad bought some yummy food too - a big fat pork chop, some bacon cheddar bread, fresh tomatos, and a tasty coffee for daddy. We had a FABULOUS dinner Saturday night, it was DELISH!

Not as yummy as Leah's cookie pie though, I'm sure!

She liked climbing on the rocks.

And looking at the water.

Until she fell down and got hurt, then we had to go home. Still, a very fun day! I had a great workout, planted the flowers that we bought at the Farmer's Market, played in the sprinkler and did lots of bubbles, watched daddy start to put up his fence...we love nice days and summertime!

Keepin' busy...

Summer is in full swing. We are spending as much time outside as we can, but haven't been able to do too much of that with the weather being rainy and chilly a lot. So we try to find other things to keep us busy. Leah loves stickers, and they don't decorate her artwork, they decorate her body!

Hangin out in the sunshine!
She does wear clothes, but a popsicle outside in the summer is just better shirtless.

We spent a great day in Mitchell at our friends' Jen and Chris, playing with Ella and all of her fun toys too! Mommies, daddies, and kiddos all came. The daddies golfed while the mommies entertained children. Look at how much fun they had! This is Leah and her friend Evan.

Gotta take a break for a snack!

All the kiddos! Pictured from left to right: Evan, Leah, Austin, Ella, Amani holding Lauren, and Jalen and Adalyn in the front. (Yes, my son is wearing a pink hat. I'd rather him wear that then get a sunburn!)

Again, gotta eat!

Here's my chubby little guy, so happy and full of smiles!

Day 91

Three months old! Leah helped decorate the sign.

Day 90

This is how I found him in the middle of the night. I heard him wake up, but then I fell back asleep. When I went to check on him awhile later, he had put himself back to sleep by sucking his thumb!

Day 88

Happy Birthday and Happy Father's Day Daddy! We had a great day together! This is story time before bed.

Day 87

Leah and Jalen played outside while daddy golfed with his family.

We woke daddy up with a special breakfast, fun decorations, and presents!

Miss Leah

Here are a few cute pics of Leah I wanted to share!

Helping with the flowers. First she helped by scooping dirt into all the pots, then helped water!
First time playing in the sprinkler!

CHEESE!

With Ella at the Avera Race Against Breast Caner.

Such a big little girl!
