project 365

I got this idea from a friend of mine...it's called Project 365. I will take one picture a day for an entire year. Of course, Leah will be my subject! I hope to create a wonderful memory of how she has grown and changed, and what we have learned being parents of such an amazing daughter! And I am back-tracking a bit...I just go the idea last week. Since I have pretty much taken pictures of her each day since she has been born, I thought I'd play a little catch-up to get to today!

back to real life...

Leah had her first week at daycare with Grandma Julie, while I had my first week back at work. Both went fine! We had practiced our morning routine the weeks prior, so that helped get us out the door on time each morning. She still sleeps during the day A LOT, and is starting to go 5-6 hour stretches at night.

I'm sure I'm biased, but look at those pretty eyelashes! And I might be wrong, but our prediction is that she will have brown eyes. Long eyelashes and big brown eyes, like her daddy!

weekend away

While Daddy decided to play with his friends for the weekend, Leah and I decided we would spend some time away...in good ol' Huron, SD!

We had our first experience picking and canning tomatoes...

At the State Fair with "Grandma" Walda...

Bath time in the sink!

Lovin' her stylish shades and hat! She knows she looks good, check out the smile on her face!

diva!

Leah is finally starting to outgrow her newborn size clothes and diapers. The weather is starting to get cooler, and I came to the realization that she has no clothes that will fit her for fall or winter! So Leah and I went on a shopping extravaganza, and she is now set. Her unofficial weight, dont by Grandma Julie, is just under 9 lbs!

Just one of her new outfits for fall....
Not a new outfit, but one of my favorites! Leah loves to just lay on her play mat. If she's fussy, we just lay her down on it and she is content! Content enough to put herself to sleep even.

Diva hat.

Notice her face...she obviously does NOT enjoy the dog. I don't blame her...
