The birthday girl, all ready for her party!!

Stay-cation, continued...

Day 118. Happy 2nd Birthday Leah!!

The day started off with Leah coming downstairs to her birthday balloons and her present. She was more excited for her balloons than her new trike! Next, we took her to Toys-R-Us to pick out a gift. She got a wooden birthday cupcake set and a magnetic chalkboard/white board. Then Grandma Julie came over with a birthday present (a cute picnic basket with food) and then we went with her to McDonald's for lunch. After nap, Conner and Grant were here. The kids played and we had some cake after dinner. It was a good day!

The kids, all ready for bed!

Day 117. Today was a low-key day. We didn't do much of anything. After the kids went to bed, we got ready for Leah's birthday the next day!

Stay-cation, continued...

Day 116.

Leah's first big-screen movie! We went with Rhonda to see the Winnie the Pooh movie. It wasn't so successful...she had a hard time sitting still! But she sure loved her M&M's that Rhonda bought her!

Stay-cation, continued...

Day 115. Another hot one! We took Leah to the Omaha zoo - it was Lindy's first time there as well! Jalen stayed home due to the hot hot hot temperature. He had a fun day with Grandma!

Enjoying some ice cream on the way home!

Stay-cation, continued...

Day 114. Went to Lake Alvin.

Sadly, the lake was not the best time! It was green and stinky and did I mention there were heat advisories the past few days? Needless to say, we didn't last long.

Jalen was cranky and for sure didn't like it!

Built a few sandcastles, then left. Daddy took Leah to the pool when we got home.

Day 113.

Remember Leah's eye from Saturday night? Looks normal, there was a small red spot of skin on her eyelid.

This is what she looked like when she woke up Sunday morning! Yikes! Called Ask-a-Nurse and they advised us to have it looked at. No gunk in her eye, no injury or bug bite that we knew of. Went to Urgent Care right when they opened, and the doctor determined it was a skin infection (?). She was put on an antibiotic for 10 days. Luckily it didn't seem to hurt or bother her at all!

And no skin infection was going to stop our Stay-cation! We were off to Wild Water West!
