day 95

Miss Leah is becoming such a little grown up! I can't believe how much she has grown and is developing. She plays with her hands and even her feet, is in the process of getting the "roll-over" down, and coos and talks a lot! She is very smiley, especially after she wakes up. She is finally out of newborn size clothes and weighs around 12 lbs. now. Her new favorite spot to be is in her bouncy seat. She loves to grab the toys and even talk to them!

I'm hoping we are finally getting into a good routine. For the last week or so, she wakes up around 5 a.m. to eat, then will go back to sleep until somewhere between 7 and 8. She will take one or two catnaps in the morning, and around 12:30 p.m. will settle down for a nice long afternoon nap, usually for 3-4 hours! Then in the evening she will take another catnap or two. Somewhere between 6:30 and 7 p.m. she has a bath, gets all lotioned up, and her last feeding before bedtime. If she is still awake, she will get a story or two. Bedtime is usually between 8:30 and 9 p.m. and she will sleep all the way until 5 a.m. the next morning!

I am officially done nursing. For the last few weeks, about every-other-time I would feed her she would fuss and squirm and sometimes scream through her feedings. We would end up having to give her a bottle when she did that. Plus, I wasn't pumping enough to get her enough bottles for the next day at daycare, so we started supplementing some with formula. Finally last week I decided we better just quit. She is still getting 1/2 breastmilk and 1/2 formula, until our frozen supply is gone. We will slowly get her used to a formula only bottle. I just quit breastfeeding/pumping cold turkey, and so far it hasn't been too bad...on a scale of 1-10, the pain is maybe at a 3, and only leaking slightly!

Other than that, nothing else is new in our world. I live for the weekends now when I get to spend the entire day with our little Bug!
